The Transformative Power of Contact: A Foreword to "ONE"

A Journey into the Unknown

My dear friend Yossi Ronen is an extraordinary person who has had extraordinary experiences. I am very proud to write the foreword to his groundbreaking book "ONE: Face to Face Contact – Experiencing ET Consciousness and Human Consciousness Evolution". In my opinion, it is one of the most important books ever written in the fields of ufology and consciousness studies.

Yossi is among the most significant experiencers of what my colleagues and I call “Contact Modalities.” This term refers to contact with Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) through various phenomena. These include Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs), astral travel, UFO encounters, spirit contact, psychedelic journeys, remote viewing, and other aspects of the paranormal. His experience illustrates and deepens our understanding of these interrelated phenomena.

Research and Insights

Together with world-renowned academics, I have written and edited eight books on these modes of contact. Our research—especially through CCRI (the Consciousness and Contact Research Institute)—includes more than 25 PhD academics and medical doctors. We point to a crucial hypothesis: all these seemingly separate supernatural phenomena are part of one integrated experience within consciousness. We argue that consciousness is primary and fundamental, not merely a product of the material world. Yossi's experience deeply affirms this hypothesis.

In collaboration with Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Dr. Rudy Schild from Harvard, and Dr. Jon Klimo, we conducted the world’s first comprehensive academic statistical study on UFO contact experiences. Over 4,350 people from 125 countries participated. The data—presented in our 820-page book "Beyond UFOs"—revealed that these experiences are primarily spiritual and transformative. Yossi's story follows this exact pattern.

A Transformational Encounter

Like many experiencers, Yossi's initial contact was frightening. He encountered what are commonly known as “short greys,” although in his case, they appeared green. However, his perception changed dramatically the moment he was allowed to enter the consciousness of these beings. What began as a terrifying event turned into a loving and transcendent experience, full of compassion, insight, and a deep sense of unity. This transformation mirrors that of 80% of the experiencers in our study, who reported a profound and more loving spiritual awakening as a result of their contact.

Amazingly, Yossi was granted direct access to the consciousness of these beings—a rarity in the vast body of UFO contact reports. What he discovered was astounding: the five beings he saw were not separate, but aspects of one unified being. This aligns precisely with the core understanding of many NDE experiencers—that separation is an illusion and that all consciousness is part of a unified whole, often referred to as “God” or “Divine Consciousness.”

The Nature of Reality

Yossi’s contact experience resembled a classic Near-Death Experience in another central way: he underwent a kind of life review. In this review, he experienced events from multiple perspectives—not only his own, but also through the consciousness of those affected by his actions. This direct and simultaneous empathic experience is one of the deepest components reported in NDE and OBE literature, and Yossi describes it with clarity and depth.

Moreover, he was shown the multidimensional nature of reality. When he asked the beings if they came from another planet, they answered “no.” They explained that they are not physical as we understand it, but from another dimension—formless, able to appear in any shape, and without a true physical origin. This directly supports the conclusions of many researchers, including Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Dr. Jacques Vallée, Dr. John Mack, and Dr. Edgar Mitchell. All of them viewed these contact events as primarily consciousness-based, not merely physical or technological.

For example, many people see deceased loved ones in physical form after their death. Are these visions physical or spiritual? The answer lies somewhere in between. Similarly, Yossi’s encounter was with a presence that appeared “real” but existed beyond physical constraints—a psycho-spiritual intelligence. Through it, he accessed the infinite knowledge of this being, similar to what is described in NDEs when people meet a guide, an angel, or a divine consciousness. The being he connected with knew all things—past, present, and future—and revealed a reality far beyond our linear material experience.

Profound Changes and Spiritual Awakening

Dr. Kenneth Ring, in his book "The Omega Project," compared Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) to UFO encounters and concluded that both lead to profound positive changes. These individuals became more spiritual, less materialistic, lost their fear of death, became more loving, developed deep ecological awareness, and became more conscious of their life’s mission and purpose. Yossi’s experience resonates with this transformation and these realizations.

Another crucial point in Yossi’s account is the manipulation of space-time. Like many people who encountered this phenomenon, he realized that what we perceive as linear time and physical space is an illusion. Reality, as revealed to him, is virtual and spiritual in nature—a multidimensional framework where form is temporary and perception is the key. The beings he met appeared as five, but revealed themselves to be distinct yet not separate, projections of a single consciousness. They told Yossi they could appear in any form they chose, since they are essentially formless, like angelic beings.

Challenging Materialism

Yossi understands that his experience challenges materialist assumptions—especially within mainstream ufology, which is still rooted in mechanical “nuts and bolts” paradigms. Many still search only for physical evidence of alien spacecraft from distant planets. But as Yossi knows—and as our research confirms—these phenomena are not merely physical, but also consciousness-based, involving expanded states of awareness and interdimensional perception.

Yossi’s book is of great historical importance. It provides essential data and insights into the complex and poorly understood phenomenon of the relationship between consciousness, our “greater reality,” and paranormal experiences involving Non-Human Intelligence. His book will not only be a vital contribution to the field of ufology, but may also change the ontology of consciousness studies. His book provides clear evidence that our perceived reality is partial and thus a kind of illusion. Our true reality is multidimensional and based on consciousness.

A Beacon for Humanity

Yossi’s book will move us away from a materialistic and rigid view of our reality. It offers a qualitative leap toward a more complex phenomenon involving contact with a wide range of multidimensional non-human intelligences. His journey takes us beyond fear, beyond alienation, into unity, love, and awakening. It is a beacon for humanity at a time when our ecological, political, and spiritual crises are converging.

His message is clear and deeply aligned with what most NDE experiencers report: “No matter how much money you have, no matter what your religion is, no matter how famous you are—what matters is that we learn how to love each other as ourselves.”
